As directed by Lucky McKee (in-house favorite May) and adapted from the novel by Jack Ketchum (Girl Next Door), Red is, by appearances, a standard revenge story. The always compelling Brian Cox (Manhunter, 25th Hour) stars as a widower in a small town who is the victim of random violence (on his dog).
