Usually when I write a review, I look up the movie on IMDB. See what people have said about it, see if the actors have done anything of note recently. Essentially, I try.
This is not your usual review, because if I spent any extra energy on the review for Cop Out, I would be doing myself, nay the world, a disservice.
Cop Out, the new “film” from “director” Kevin Smith, tells the story of two NYPD detectives who, while attempting to track down a stolen baseball card, fall into a case involving Mexican drug cartels. Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan star as the cops.
Let me start out by saying I watched Cop Out, from beginning to end. I didn’t turn it off, as reason and taste would suggest. I toughed out the entire story. I smiled once. Through the whole, long unending cacophony of poop jokes, I smiled once. I didn’t laugh, I thought ‘That’s almost funny’ and smiled, and that’s the only positive thing I can say about Cop Out. – [DVD] [Blu-Ray]
